OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2010. It was said by the European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek at the meeting with Prime Minister Vlad Filat in Chisinau. He reminded that the European Parliament had decided earlier to provide Moldova with macrofinancial assistance in the amount of 90 million euros and it intends to continue assisting our country.

The European Parliament President believes the year of 2010 was successful for Moldova in terms of promotion of the democratic values and reforms and our country was totally supported by the development partners. Jerzy Buzer stressed that Moldova is the example of success in the framework of the Eatern Partnership.

He said the European Union was interested in close relations with Moldova and maitenance of stability and development of multilateral cooperation with our country. The European Parliament President said European observers’ statements prove that November 28 early parliamentary elections in Moldova were free and transparent.

He also said he came to Chisinau to say the words of solidarity in this turning period for the republic saying that the choice was made by the country’s citizens.
