OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2010. Russian Agricultural Bank became a laureate of the annual National Banking Premium in the nomination “Leader in lending to the real sector of economy”. The award was established by Association of Russian Banks, National Banking Club and National Banking Magazine, reported the press-centre of Russian Agricultural Bank. 

During 10 months of 2010 the Bank’s loan portfolio increased by 17% and reached RUB 713.8 billion. Agribusiness lending accounts for some 85% in RusAg’s loan portfolio.

In 2010, the Bank was focused on providing available credit and financial resources to this real sector of economy. Since January 2010, RusAg has decreased five times interest rates for its borrowers, i.e. in November interest rates were decreased by some 3%.

The main focus of Russian Agricultural Bank for the current period is financial support of agricultural producers in the framework of implementation of the Federal Program on Agribusiness Development 2008-2012.
