OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2010. Administration for Treatment of Process Water for Formation Pressure Maintenance (UPTZH), which is a structural division of TATNEFT, has provided drinking water supply for worker's settlement Jalil (Republic of Tatarstan) having built a station to clean drinking water in the settlement, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT. 

The work has been performed under a special program to improve the quality of water supplied to consumers of the south eastern part of Tatarstan. The activities in this area were initiated by Shafagat Takhautdinov, General Director of TATNEFT in 2009.

The project design for the capital construction of the drinking water purification station in Jalil working settlement has been made by OOO Helios Star. The station is designed for purification of secondarily polluted during transportation water, for reduction of the iron ions amount and color and turbidity of water for the purpose of its subsequent further usage in the drinking water supply systems.

The composition of the water cleaning station includes the installation of water treatment and decontamination, coagulant and flocculant feed unit, facilities for recycling filter backwash water and sludge dewatering site.

Earlier in December 2009 UPTZH Administration fully provided clean drinking water for the city of Almetyevsk (Republic of Tatarstan). The list of the problems solved included major repair of trunk water pipelines, reconstruction of Bigashevo water treatment facilities, construction of two water pipelines with internal cement/sand lining for transporting purified water, as well as reconstruction of drinking water treatment facilities at the Kama River water purification installations. These activities have assisted in improving the quality of water and bringing it to the sanitary standards by all parameters.

Today, UPTZH Administration of TATNEFT founded in 1970 on the basis of existing water intakes and water treatment facilities of Almetyevneft, Aznakaevskneft and Elkhovneft Oil and Gas Production Boards performs intake, treatment and transportation of water to consumers at oil production facilities for reservoir pressure maintenance and oil treatment, as well as for production needs of other industrial enterprises and for drinking and domestic service/utility water supply of the inhabited localities in the south eastern part of the Republic of Tatarstan.

UPTZH Administration services 4 water intake facilities, 5 water treatment plants, 2,285 km of water trunk lines, 15 pumping stations, Karabash hydraulic engineering structures and a chemical analytical laboratory responsible for supervising the quality of the original, treated and delivered to consumers water in seven administrative regions of the Republic.
