OREANDA-NEWS. December 08, 2010. Results of the XII-th International Exhibition "Energy. Resource Saving" have been summed up. Sh.F. Takhautdinov, General Director of TATNEFT, was among the company leaders who received letters of thanks for the introduction of energy efficient technologies from R.N. Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The exhibition was attended by over 160 companies, which presented the latest equipment and advanced technologies. Among the participants there were companies from 37 regions of Russia, companies from Germany, China and representative offices of foreign companies from the USA, Germany, Italy, China, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Sweden.

The International Exhibition "Energy. Resource Saving" was visited by Elvira Nabiullina, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan. Distinguished guests were presented the achievements of the largest enterprises of Tatarstan in the field of energy and resource efficiency.

A traditional contest "Energy-efficient equipment and technology" was arranged in the framework of the exhibition. TATNEFT was awarded a diploma for the factory for production of glass fibers and glass fiber based products in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in the special category "Pride of Tatarstan. The company was awarded a bronze diploma in the nomination "Products with new or improved characteristics in terms of minimizing the specific consumption of fuel and energy resources and materials for their manufacture" for equipment and technology of the oil reservoir pressure maintenance through application of the downhole interwell water pumping.

The exposition of TATNEFT represented in detail the main aspects of the program implementation: organizational arrangements, introduction of new equipment and technologies, advanced methods of associated petroleum gas utilization, improvement of hard-to-recover oil production methods, etc.

The visitors to the exhibition also had an opportunity to familiarize with prospects of development of a new program of resource and energy saving of TATNEFT Company for 2011-2020. Its goals are harmonized with the goals of the "State program of energy conservation and energy efficiency for the period up to 2020" and they are aimed at ensuring the rational use of resources and implementation of resource saving activities on the basis of introducing the most resource-efficient technologies.

The main task of the new program is to ensure reduction of the absolute fuel and energy resources consumption by at least 7.4% at the first stage (by 2015) and by13.5% at the second stage (by 2020) compared with 2007 through implementation of the planned measures.

One of the strategic initiatives of TATNEFT is development of small-scale power generation, which should provide for supply of the own generated electricity in the amount of up to 4.5% of the total electric power consumption by 2020.
