OREANDA-NEWS. December 08, 2010. According to the National Statistics Office, it rose by USD 252.8 million or by 16.1% in comparison with the same period last year. Particularly, Moldovan exports grew by 16.7% - to USD 1,190.7 million, import increased by 16.3% - to USD 3,010.1 million.

Moldovan supplies to the CIS states for ten months of this year increased by 22.2% - to USD 390.7 million, to the EU states – by 6% - to USD 571.1 million. The share of the CIS states in the total Moldovan exports in January-October this year rose from 37.5% to 39.3% in comparison with the same period last year, the share of EU states – reduced from 52.8% to 48%.

Imports to Moldova from the CIS for ten months of this year totaled USD 961.6 million, up 6.8% against the same period last year, imports from the EU increased by 19.1% - to USD 1,350.6 million.

The share of CIS states in the total Moldovan imports reduced from 34.8% to 31.9%, that of the EU states – increased from 43.8% to 44.9%. The deficit of the balance of trade of Moldova with the EU states in January-October this year will increase by 31% - to USD 779.5 million, with CIS countries - reduced by 4.7% - to USD 493.4 million.
