OREANDA-NEWS. December 07, 2010. Under the instructions of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, within its Scholarship Program SOCAR successfully continues its activities to finance the education of talented and ambitious youth at the best universities abroad. Every year great number of talented students is given wide opportunities to study for bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the top universities of the world at the expense of SOCAR Scholarship Program.

Recently SOCAR has announced competition for students to study for master’s degree at universities of France within the Scholarship Program. Seniors, undergraduates, and graduates with good command of English or French can enter a competition. Those, who succeed at the contest, may study in France at the expense of SOCAR starting from the next academic year. Contestant seniors should graduate with “good” and “excellent” grades, while undergraduates and graduates should get 100 marks on engineering and technical specialties, and 110 marks from other specialties mentioned in SOCAR Scholarship Program at the test exams conducted by the Azerbaijan Student Admission Commission. Also the participants should present TOEFL, IELTS, and other necessary foreign language certificates.

To mention, study in France project is realized in cooperation between SOCAR and TOTAL. TOTAL, interested in cooperation with SOCAR on HR development joined Scholarship Program in 2006.
