Supercomputer Hewlett Packard obtained and installed by JSC “EMAlliance”, is expected to create a basis for a cluster system of exact three – dimensional calculations in the design of modern power equipment. The purchased equipment has few analogues within the territory of Russia, and its total value exceeds to 10 mln rbl.

The use of the 2 TFlops power computer allows “EMAlliance” to reduce time required for power equipment design development by means of cutting down testing and pilot cycle time, as well as to ensure optimization of manufacturing equipment parameters and design that contributes to improvement of equipment efficiency, reliability and life cycle.

It should be noted that the application of this computing hardware serves to reduce project management risks in terms of performance and environmental requirements and allows to carry out high-precision three-dimensional computational analysis on the early stages of a new energy-efficient equipment designing.

JSC “EMAllaince” Vice – President on innovations Boris Firsov has noticed that the application of supercomputer technologies brings the company’s computing potential to a new level permitting to find more cost-effective reliable solutions for new equipment design and existing power capacities upgrading with general costs saving by the Customer and the Supplier.
