OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2010. To mark its 10th anniversary System Capital Management presented a gift to Donetsk and its citizens.

A sculptured hand holding a crystal called "In Perspective" was created by a famous Italian sculptor Lorenzo Quinn and mounted in the very heart of the city.

Natalia Yemchenko, SCM Director of Public Relations and Communications, commented on the artist's concept: "The philosophy of the sculpture meets the philosophy of Donetsk, a city with winning mentality. We can change this world for better every moment. On the other hand, the artist tried to say that our world is very fragile. However, the keynote message of the sculpture is that the world is in our hands."

The sculpture's opening was followed by a fantastic show of Quidam, a French street theatre. The actors performed their well-known show Herbet’s Dream out in the open.

"It's a symbol that gives the city an opportunity to develop and pursue its goals. All good things in our life are made by human hands. A small crystal in this hand represents us, people and society," noted Aleksandr Lukyanchenko, Donetsk mayor, at the opening ceremony.
