OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2010. The delegation of JSC “Airport Tolmachevo” together with the Government of Novosibirsk region has opened the first working day of the sixth international exhibition “Transport of Russia –2010” with the presentation of project “International airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) –a finished Unit for air companies and passengers”.

Presentation of International airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) as a finished Unit for air companies and passengers with the demonstration of basic indices increasing of enterprise was introduced to the guests’, exhibitors’ and participants’ attention.

This year is one of the most important in the history of the airport: the second run way (ICAO category 2) was put into operation, the two million’s passenger was registered in November, terminal reconstruction was finished, the registration time for international flights passengers was enlarged till 4 hours, the “green corridor” allowing the reducing of customs procedures time was opened, new carriers were attracted and new routes were opened, - announced the general director of JSC “Airport Tolmachevo” Alexander Borodin. – In the near future we are going to put into operation the technical maintenance line station for aircraft Boeing-747 and MD-11 and to forward the program of regional carriages development. Last year’s investments for capital building, units’ reconstruction and getting the new equipment made up 282 million rubles.

The transport and road service minister N. Simonov also marked the importance of transport area development in Novosibirsk region:

- To this very day we have talked separately about airport reconstruction, international and local terminal enlargement, hotel building, the second run way construction, load terminal building. Today every unit is ready. Today we consider airport Tolmachevo as an indivisible finished unit, which is capable to increase passenger flow capacity in 2 times and load flow capacity in 2,5 times. It is very important now to attract new companies, to open new flights and routes. This task is being actively developed now by the managers of the airport.

Also N. Simonov noticed the importance of the participation in the industrial exhibition:

- At the international exhibition “Transport of Russia -2010” Novosibirsk region is a traditional participant. We visited Sochi twice; we were in Moscow last year. In 2010 we have a great exposition, which includes: “Industrial logistic park”, ‘The third bridge across the Ob river and city transport infrastructure”, “International airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) – a finished Unit for air companies and passengers”.

According to the project of airport perspective development, airport Novosibirsk Tolmachevo is expected by 2026 to represent a modern transport center completely corresponding to the ICAO categories. A range of infrastructure unites will be established. The project of new passenger terminal with the capacity of 5,5 million passengers per year has been accomplished. The achievement of the project supposes the runway –1 reconstruction, a new four-star hotel building, establishment of exhibition and congress center and catering service as well as building of new apron and hangar for the aircraft type D and trade and entertainment logistic center.

The whole volume of investments for these projects makes up more then 20 milliard rubles, where 80 % are airport’s investments, investors’ money and borrowed funds; the rest 20% are financed from federal and regional budgets.

The strategy of the development of the airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) is headed for the establishment of a large aviation transport center providing convenient flight joining and development of transport logistic direction. The investment projects are supported by the authorities of Russian Federation and regional authorities.
