The increase of the time of registration from 2,5 till 4 hour will allow the passenger to pass boundary and customs control, to register luggage and to spend the remain time in a " sterile zone". The innovation is basically for the non-resident passengers, who are forced to spend several hours in the main hall of the air terminal waiting the beginning of the registration. All air carriers involved in the international sector have joined this service.

Introduction of 4-hour registration – is another measure, allowing the queues avoiding at a registration desk. This measure allows to reduce the time of getting tags and to enhance the quality of each passenger’s service.

The practice of other participant of industry shows that the registration on the international flight usually starts 24 hours before the departure. So the authority of Tolmachevo Airport is considering the further increasing of registration time.

In September of this year the additional registration desks were equipped at the international flight terminal. Their number has increased till 6. A system of double corridor started its function on the 20th October 2010 at the international terminal of Airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo): the passengers, owing goods liable to writing declaration, are directed to the “red” corridor and the passengers, conforming the absence of goods liable to writing declaration are directed to the “green” corridor. This system permits to accelerate the procedure of customs passing and is used both in the arrivals and departure areas. The sum of investment for this project has made up about 3 million rubles.
