OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) started a training session for experts from the competition authorities of Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Sweden and Tajikistan, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December 2010, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The training is organized under the bilateral and multilateral agreements of cooperation between Russian antimonopoly authority and foreign competition agencies.

On 1st December, foreign experts attending the seminar at FAS Russia were able to listen to reports and presentations given by the heads and experts of the FAS Russia’s Department for International Economic Cooperation, Analytical Department, Legal Department, Department for Control over the Authorities and the Department for Control over Transport and Communications.

The Head of the Department for International Economic Cooperation, Ms. Lesya Davydova, emphasized how” useful and valuable is the seminar for both FAS Russia and the international competition community in general, as such events allow to exchange working experience and facilitate effective implementation of competition policy”.

In their turn, the heads of the FAS Russia’s structural units informed their foreign colleagues about important areas of the work of the Antimonopoly Service, shared analytical experience and discussed the most significant antimonopoly investigations.
