OREANDA-NEWS. December 02, 2010. Total investments into the Ungheni-Business Free Economic Zone totaled USD 33.2 million, with USD 2 million of them invested for nine months of 2010. According to the Ministry of Economy of Moldova, in January-September 2010 in comparison with the same period last year, Ungheni-Business residents increased export of production and services by 29%, to 397 million leis.

They export lumber, furniture, varnishes and paints for cars, ceramic tile, packages for jewelry and others. 34 economic subjects are currently working in Ungheni-Business. Four new residents from the Netherlands, Turkey, Italy and Moldova were registered in it for nine months of this year.

According to the Ministry of Economy’s data, over 650 new workplaces were created for nine months of this year in Ungheni-Business Free Enterprise Zone. The total number of workers as of the end of this period was 1,553 people, up 39% against January-September of the last year.
