By the results of the IX-th contest of welders of Russia, held in Ufa, Bashkortostan, the title of the best welder of Russia was awarded to Albert Zaymanov, an employee of NGDU Almetyevneft, the 2-nd place was also awarded to the representative of TATNEFT Company Irshat Garayev, a welder of NGDU Jalilneft, the top five were closed by Alexey Sosenkov, an employee of NGDU Yelkhovneft, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The contest for the title of the "Best Welder of Russia" was held in the framework of the X-th International Welding Forum, which included simultaneous holding of international scientific and technical conferences and a "Welding and control" specialized exhibition.

Traditionally this forum and the contest of the welders of Russia were organized by the Interstate Scientific Council for welding and related technologies, National Agency for control and welding, the Urals Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision, the Republican organization of Bashkortostan " Workers Trade Union of the oil and gas industries and construction" and Svarteks.

The team of TATNEFT traditionally takes the most active part in the competitions of this kind. In the competitions of the past years Albert Zaymanov held the title of the best welder of Russia for three consecutive years. In 2009, he yielded precedence to his colleague Irshat Garayev. The victory in 2010 made Albert Zaymanov a four-time champion in his category.
