Bank of Baku Clarifies Information Published by WikiLeaks
OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2010. Bank of Baku officially denies information published on 29 November 2010 by internet resource Wikileaks regarding its involvement in ‘money laundering’ activities.
The Bank says that only true information published about Bank of Baku relates to the fact that Oromi family does indeed hold stake in Bank of Baku through Turkish registered holding "Nab D?s Ticaret". Members of Oromi family are well known and respected businessmen in Azerbaijan and abroad. In Azerbaijan Oromi family is doing business from mid 90s and at the moment owns shares in number of successful trading and service ventures.
Bank of Baku also denies information that someone by the name “Jamsheed "Jushkar" Mahmudoglu” is a large shareholder of the bank. Bank of Baku officially states that this person has never owned any share of the bank. List of current shareholders of the bank is published on the official website:

In addition, Bank of Baku has never been involved in any illegal money transfers or any other unlawful activities and person named “Adil Sharibiani” never been a client of our bank.
