OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2010. Moscow Stock Exchange and Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange have signed a cooperation agreement during a visit of a Moscow Stock Exchange delegation to Belarus.

The deal was signed by Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange Chairman of the Board Arkady Salikov and President of Moscow Stock Exchange Alexei Ryzhikov.

The sides discussed inter-exchange cooperation issues, especially the project to create the Eurasian exchange of farm produce, raw materials and foodstuffs. Also, Moscow Stock Exchange and Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange shared solutions to access electronic trading platforms.

JSC Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange was established in 2005. The state controls 98% in the exchange. In the first three quarters, there were 799 trading sessions at the exchange, with 126,600 transactions totaling 2.393 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), up 70% from the first nine months of 2009.
