OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2010. Belarus will complete transformation of state-run enterprises into open joint-stock companies in 2013, the director of the State Property Fund with the State Property Committee, Natalia Zhernosek, said during the 13th Minsk forum on the Belarusian-European relations.

“We have elaborated privatization plans for the next three years. In 2013, we will complete issuing shares of the largest state-run enterprises,” she said.

She said the year 2010 would see transformation of three largest enterprises – Belaruskali [registered as an open joint-stock company in September 2010 – Prime-Tass] and two oil transport operators – Gomeltransneft Druzhba and Novopolotsk Druzhba [share issue is expected by the end of the year].

Also in 2010, it is planned to transform machine-building enterprises, which will later form a holding. “All mechanical engineering enterprises will have been reformed by the end of the year, except for tractor and farm machine productions,” she said.

The makers of farms machines are expected to be transformed in 2011-2013. In that period, some 500 enterprises will be turned into joint-stock companies.
