OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2010. The process of renaming of the Russian Commercial Bank, a subsidiary of GPB located in Switzerland, to Gazprombank (Switzerland) Ltd. has been completed. The notification on the renaming was entered into the State Registry of Legal Entities in Switzerland on November 10, 2010. 

By acquiring the Russian Commercial Bank, Zurich, in the year of 2009 Gazprombank obtained its first license to carry out banking activities abroad. A strengthening of Gazprombank's presence in Switzerland is an important step in development of international investment and corporate banking business of the GPB Group.

The Bank's strategic customers in Switzerland include companies, which represent such sectors of Russian economics as oil and gas industry, metallurgy, petrochemistry, etc.
