Mikrokreditbank to Become Member of Asian Bankers Association
OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2010. Mikrokreditbank open joint-stock commercial bank had a majority vote to become a member of Asian Bankers Association during 27th annual conference of ABA held in November in Taipei.
The ABA joints 100 leading banks from 23 states of Asian Pacific region. By becoming a member of such a respectful financial institute, Mikrokreditbank gets access to new opportunities connected with direct participation in development of international banking financial policy, information and experience exchange with foreign partners in microcredit development in accordance with international standards.
To be noted, the bank also became a member of Microfinance Center of the Central and Eastern Europe and CIS, Asian Bankers Association and participates in UNDP project for the support of microfinance sector to be able to implement in practice latest international methods and achievements in microcrediting.
The Asian Bankers Association was organized on 29 October 1981 as one of the service councils of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI). The ABA aims to provide a forum for advancing the cause of the banking and finance industry in the region and promoting regional economic cooperation. ABA's membership currently includes some 100 of the leading banks from 23 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. ABA has headquarters in Taipei (Taiwan).
