OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2010. Bakcell, the first mobile operator in Azerbaijan, is pleased to announce the launch of the Bakcell Graduate Program in partnership with Khazar, Qafqaz and Azerbaijan Technical Universities, reported the press-centre of Bakcell.

The aim of the Bakcell Graduate Program is to support the development of young professionals in the field of mobile telecommunications. “We want young people to know more about the telecommunications business. By getting hands-on experience at Bakcell the students will get to know this innovative industry and find out what the employment opportunities are,” says Ineke Botter, CEO of Bakcell.

The submission of the applications for the enrollment into the Bakcell Graduate Program will continue until November 25, 2010. The most skillful students will have to pass a selection procedure to get an opportunity to intern at Bakcell for a minimum of three months. The program is mentored by both the University professors and Bakcell’s specialists in different business areas. The internship program will start in January, 2011.

Bakcell in February 2010 opened a large training center for its personnel to ensure that they are continuously informed and trained to best serve the well over 2 million active subscriber base. Bakcell has invested in several large HR projects for young people: Bakcell and Junior Achievement Azerbaijan’s ‘Introduction to Mobile Telecommunication Business’ program for the technical major students, Bakcell and AIESEC’s exchange program for the young graduate workers and the Bakcell Graduate Program for university students.
