OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2010. EuroChem and the Kotelnikovo District Administration have signed a contract this week for capital repairs in the therapeutics and children’s departments at the Kotelnikovo Central Municipal Hospital. The Company has allocated over RUB 9 million for this project.

This hospital was built in 1985 and is the only one in the district. No repairs have been undertaken since then in the therapeutics or children’s departments, which admit 60 and 25 patients, respectively. Repairs are scheduled for completion in March 2011. Equipment supplies are an additional issue to be tackled. There are future plans for repairs in the gynecology and infectious disease departments.

The quality of public health services in the Kotelnikovo District is currently extremely low. The condition of medical service in the district’s inpatient and outpatient hospitals are correspondingly 2.0 and 4.5 times lower than standards set by the Construction Norms and Rules (SNiP).
