OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2010. Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, hold the meeting devoted to construction of OJSC TANECO Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex.

Starting the meeting, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the visit of Mr.Dmitry Medvedev, President of Russia, became the milestone event for the Republic. Mr.Medvedev approved the start of commissioning works at the primary crude oil processing unit. Due to this fact, the Head of the Republic thanked JSC Tatneft and OJSC TANECO management and the contractors for the well-coordinated work. After that he set a number of new tasks for the near future. The President said the following: “Only the person, who worked beginning from construction and finishing the start-up, can appreciate the performed work. Today we must define the new aims. It is very important to us, that the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex should be profitable and make products with high added value".

In order to evaluate the readiness for the next step of work, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, Mr. Ilshat Fardiev, Deputy of the Prime-Minister, Minister of Energetics, Mr. Shafagat Takhautdinov, JSCTatneft General Director and some other Heads visited the key facilities of the Complex and became familiar with progress of commissioning works. At the meeting, the Head of the Republic pointed out two main tasks: output of market products and start-up of Visbreaker and Sulfur Production Vacuum Unit. Mr. Chingiz Khalilov, the Director of Refinery, told about the actions which will be done by TANECO Departments and the contractors in order to carry out the President’s commissions. Report of the future plans was based on the detailed analysis of the commissioning works progress, procurement of equipment and materials. 

Summarizing the results of the meeting, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the participants of the project implementation should analyze the set tasks for the purpose of their execution within the established deadlines.
