OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2010. Repairs in three city hospitals of Kryviy Rih are completed, for which OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih” allocated 3.5 mln UAH. Capital repairs of roofing and installation of plastic windows was performed in the City Hospital No.1 (Dzerzhinsky district), Children's City Hospital No.2 (Dolgintsevsky district), and City Hospital No.11 (Inguletsky district).

affairs of OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih”: “The priority areas of our corporate responsibility policy are education and health. Therefore, along with the city authorities, we have determined that funds to solve social problems in the city will be directed specifically to repair schools and city hospitals. Especially these public institutions traditionally lack resources. In six city schools the new school year started in comfort after the performed roofing repairs and installation of plastic windows. The renovation was completed also

in three hospitals. These projects are good examples of our concern about the inhabitants of the city; this is the concrete improvement providing comfort, warmth and energy efficiency in the buildings”.

Funds for repairs to city hospitals have been allocated under the Agreement on cooperation and organization of the relationship between the executive committee of Kryviy Rih city council and OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih”. Under this agreement the allocation of funds is carried out in several stages, each time for the specific needs of the city, and for the priority social projects determined jointly by the executive committee and administration of OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih”. The first part of the funds in the amount of 5.9 million UAH was implemented to repair roofs and replace windows in six schools of Inhulets and Dzerzhinsky districts before the start of the academic year. The second part of the funds in the amount of 3.5 million UAH was allocated in July for major repairs in the city hospitals of Kryviy Rih. 5 million UAH were used to repair roads and inside-areas in the city.

Agreement on cooperation and organization of the relationship between the executive committee of Kryviy Rih city council and OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih” was signed on March 15, 2010 to ensure socio-economic security of residents of Kryviy Rih, as well as the establishment of appropriate social and environmental conditions of inhabitants in Kryviy Rih. According to this agreement OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih” during 2010 will give the city 15 million UAH for construction, expansion, repair and maintenance of certain objects of social and production infrastructure of the city and implementation of social programs and projects. OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih” concludes similar agreements with local authorities regarding cooperation on economic and social protection of the inhabitants of the city every year since 2006.
