OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2010. Having taken receipt of License for Handling and Storage of Alcoholic Drinks (over 40 % by volume) JSC Vnukovo-Cargo stands to further broaden it's service offer.

Effective October 26, 2010, the JSC Vnukovo-Cargo-operated Mail & Cargo Terminal has been offering space and capability for the handling and storage of alcoholic drinks and perfumery on orders from ventures specializing in these lines of business, such as duty-free store chains and outlets.

The new License will allow to attract new customers, and to eventually build long-lasting relationships with them. Apart from that the document is yet another testimony to the Vnukovo International Mail & Cargo Terminal's full compliance with all the current standards in the handling of any type of cargo.

In terms of its capabilities, design features and specifications, Vnukovo International's Mail & Cargo Facility is currently Russia's largest air cargo & logistics center. Thanks to the cutting-edge equipment and expertise the facility offers, it is capable of handling any type of cargo including perishables, valuables, as well as the diplomatic, dangerous-goods, live-stock, and other types of shipments that require specific conditions during transportation, storage, and handling.

Yet another indisputable advantage the facility offers is that of its immediate proximity to both the dedicated cargo AC stands, as well as those surrounding the Airport's mainline passenger terminals, which allows to keep the cargo consignment in-transit and loading/offloading times to a minimum

The Vnukovo Mail & Cargo Terminal is a multifunctional business center with a two-level air cargo handling and warehousing facility at its core, grossing 56 thousand square meters of floor space. The facility's design parameters and specifications bespeak its true potential: the total warehousing floor space of 13 thousand square meters, storage areas for special types of cargo (DG, valuables, diplomatic shipments, perishables etc.), cold storage with a variety of temperature regimens. The Terminal's total throughput capacity is an impressive 150 thousand metric tons of cargo a year, translating into 450 tons daily.
