OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2010. TATNEFT Company has become a winner of the XIII-th All-Russian contest of annual reports organized by the RTS Stock Exchange in the nomination of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs: "The best report on the corporate social responsibility and sustainable development." The awarding ceremony was held in Moscow, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The report on sustainable development and social responsibility of TATNEFT for 2009 has been prepared in accordance with international standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and AA 1000 and certified by the independent auditing company - "Bureau Veritas Certification Rus". It details the results of the economic, innovational, environmental and social activities of the Company. The electronic version of the report has been placed on the Internet portal of TATNEFT Group of Companies.

138 russian and foreign companies have participated in the contest of annual reports arranged by the RTS Stock Exchange this year representing virtually all sectors of the economy: oil production, metallurgy, finance, telecommunications, consumer industry, etc. This contest has been arranged by the RTS Stock Exchange since 1998 and it is the main venue for presentation of reporting by the companies. The aim of the contest is to promote effective disclosure of information to investors and clients.

TATNEFT has been publishing its social reporting annually since 2005 with the aim of informing the general public about the Company's activity to ensure economic sustainability, environmental security and social welfare. The activities of TATNEFT in preparing social reports have repeatedly been honored with public recognition. Another victory in the prestigious contest confirms the Company's commitment to pursue the best practice of the corporate social responsibility and maintain a high level of transparency to the shareholders and the public.
