OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2010. AMT BANK became one of the first Russian banks to launch a version of its official website with a new national domain “.rf”. Now customers may visit the official website of the Bank by typing the address in the browser in Cyrillic letters амтбанк.рф or the former address in Latin letters www.amtbank.com, reported the press-centre of AMT BANK.

Launching the official website with the national domain lets customers get information about the Bank in an easier way. Now, this can be done by just typing the website address in Russian in the browser window. Moreover, registration of the website with the new domain allows to avoid risks of unauthorized use of the Bank’s name by third parties or repurchasers of famous brand names.

It should be noted that the national domain of the top-level for Russia “.rf” is the first domain in the internet in Cyrillic letters. The difference from “.ru” introduced earlier is that “.rf” suggests all names of the second level are written in Cyrillic letters only.
