OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2010. For nine months of 2010 IES-Holding generating companies have produced 43,3 billion kilowatt-hour of electric energy and 80,8 mln Gcal of heat. In comparison with the similar period of 2009 heat production has grown by 2,5%, and electricity output has reduced by 2,6%.

According to “Trading” Division experts, electric energy consumption growth in Integrated Energy System of Urals within 2010 was covered by large Hydro Power Plants having less production expenditures than CHPP’s. This factor explains the electric energy output reduction in TGC-5 and TGC-9 in comparison with 2009. At the same time “Volzhskaya TGC’s” production rate actually corresponds to the last year figures, since its power plants are located in IES of Middle Volga, where a record decrease of large hydro power plants load was fixed.

Heat energy output growth was substantially caused by cold winter of 2009-2010. Within the heating period the ambient temperature in the European part of Russia was below the limiting values and climatic norms. Besides, steam consumption by industrial consumers also increased.
