OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2010. The number of mobile Internet users through 3G services has reached 105,900, according to the National Electronic Communications and Information Technologies Regulating Agency.

The number of dial-up Internet users reduced for this period by 96% and totaled less than one thousand. As a result, the broadband Internet penetration level in Moldova per 100 residents has increased by 1.6 percentage points since the beginning of 2010 to reach 6.85%.

The Agency explains such a rapid development of the broadband internet services by the growth of their affordability, decrease in fees and the replacement of dial-up services by broadband services provided through fixed and mobile terminals.
