OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2010. To provide refinancing loan for the State Target Program of socio-economic construction (purchase) of affordable housing for the period 2010 implementation in amount of 625 million UAH at10 per cent per annum.

This task should be fulfilled until December 10, 2010 by Oshchadbank and Ukreximbank, coming out from the Action Plan for 2010 on completion of unfinished housing and encourage consumers to purchase these items. Draft Plan was discussed today at a regular meeting of the working group, which deals with these issues, chaired by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Tikhonov.

He informed that the working group is also tasked Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Economy, JSC Sberbank, Ukreximbank and other state banks, SMI, and the State Fund for Youth Housing to provide a credits mechanism to individuals who participate in the State Target socio-economic program for the construction (purchase) of affordable housing in the years 2010-2017.

The plans are, according to official, to direct at least 15 percent of the profits of state banks to individuals lending based on this program.

Viktor Tikhonov has called unacceptable the situation where banks are looking for reasons, but not the ways to lend the individuals intending to buy affordable housing, with cheap loans.
 
"I do not advise the banks to state once again the low solvency of the population. Everyone knows about the impact of the financial crisis. Instead, it is necessary for both public and commercial, and national banks to come to a common solution that will allows budge the loans issue to individuals for the completion of unfinished housing units"- Viktor Tikhonov said.

The Vice Prime Minister informed that today in Ukraine 34 690 building projects with total area of 7 million 466 thousand m2 are put into operation.

"In the regions there are 258 multi-housing facilities ready for 95-97%. Till the end of the year they will also be put into operation, subject to appropriate funding. As a result, I think, at the end of the year, we receive more than 9 million m2 of housing. Government is doing everything possible to make as many people as possible to meet the New Year in their own new houses"- Viktor Tikhonov said.
