OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2010. Kyiv cardboard paper mill in Obukhiv, Kyiv region, Ukraine's leading pulp and paper producer, in January-October 2010 sold products worth UAH 1.404 billion (USD176.5 million), which is 42.2% up year-over-year, as Kyiv Post reported.

Over the period, the mill increased corrugated box production by 18.1%, to 110.76 million square meters, and commodity corrugated cardboard output grew by 14.3%, to 43.46 million square meters.

The cardboard production increase includes growth of box cardboard production of 14.7%, to 78,310 tonnes, while the production of commodity cardboard fell by 3.9%, to 96,540 tonnes.

Toilet paper output was up by 6.7%, to 247.6 million rolls.

According to Ukrpapir, in general, cardboard packaging production in Ukraine in the first ten months of the year grew by 10.2%, to 666.16 million square meters, while paper and cardboard output rose by 2.7%, to 692,900 tonnes.

Kyiv cardboard paper mill is one of the largest cardboard and paper producers in Europe. It mainly produces goods from waste paper. Its capacity for processing waste paper exceeds 850 tonnes a day. The mill exports its products to the CIS countries, and to Iran, Turkey, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
