OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2010. Beltelecom together with the operator JSC Erotel (OJSC MTS subsidiary undertaking) carried out works on the extension of the external internet gateway of Belarus in the direction of Russia for 10 Gbit/s, reported the press-centre of Beltelecom.

Thereby the total external internet gateway of Belarus equals to 57 Gbit/s. Also in November Beltelecom starts testing the channel in West direction jointly with the major European Internet service providers.

Previous extension of the internet gateway for 10 Gbit/s was held on August, 9.
