Bank of Moscow Appointed Vice-President - Head of IT
OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2010. As Vice-President heading IT of the Bank of Moscow Oksana Smirnova-Krell will be in charge of the activities of IT and the Banking Services Development Centre.
Oksana Smirnova-Krell graduated from Moscow State Railways University (MIIT) and also received a British Open University MBA degree in Strategic Management.
She began career in the banking sphere in 2000, with Commerzbank (Eurasia), where she rose from Specialist to Deputy Manager of the "Operations Management-Sales" department. From 2004 to 2008, she worked at Svenska Handelsbanken as Head of the Corporate Settlements Department, and then held the positions of Member of the Board, Firs Deputy President — Chairman of the Board and was in charge of projects designed to develop the bank’s information technology services for clients.
In 2008-2010, Oksana Smirnova-Krell was Member of the Board of Svedbank, where she was Head of the Banking Processes Administration and was in charge of IT. The tasks Oksana Smirnova-Krell fulfilled included development and promotion of CashManagement products for corporate clients, introduction of process and project approaches to systematising development of products and services, as well as creation of a processing centre, obtaining of a MasterCard licence, performance of EMV-certification, opening of two data-processing centres and restructuring of the bank’s telecommunications infrastructure.
