Head of Aeroflot Received Company of Year Award
OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2010. Vitali Saveliev, the head of Aeroflot Airlines Company, has received the ‘Company of the Year’ Award in the ‘For personal contribution to the development of the Russian transportation system’ nomination, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.
The acknowledgement ceremony of the annual ‘Company of the Year’ Award took place in the Ritz-Carlton, Moscow. The honorable award was given to the leaders of the Russian business for spectacular achievements in 2010 according to the Company business weekly.
An expert group evaluated Vitali Saveliev’s personal contribution to the development of civil aviation in Russia and highlighted the dynamic and professional growth of the JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines.
Among the achievements of Aeroflot is a 2.5 increase in capitalization after just over a year. Aeroflot has renewed its fleet thus making it the youngest in Europe. The company has placed emphasis on improving the quality of passenger service on board the results of which have on many occasions been observed by both Russian and European experts. The company’s website of www.aeroflot.ru has been updated, or to be more precise, made anew, which has increased the traffic four-fold and led to a dramatic growth in the number of tickets sold via the site. The active introduction of new technologies has helped to increase sales and decrease expenditures and generally optimize production activity.
The annual ‘Company of the Year’ Award was introduced in 1999 by the editorial board of the Company business weekly. It is awarded to companies achieving best results in their fields and playing a major role in the development of the national economy. The decision on the Award is taken by an expert group incorporating famous journalists, independent experts, representatives of business associations and government bodies.
