OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2010. The Head of the Department for Control over Electric Power Industry, of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Rusisa), Mr. Vitaly Korolyov, made a presentation at the “Round Table” of the Committee of the State Duma on Electric Power Industry.

The “Round Table” focused on normative-legal framework for enforcement of the Federal Law “On Energy Saving and Increasing Energy Efficiency and on Introducing Amendments to Some legislative Acts of the Russian Federation”.

At the “Round Table” Vitaly Korolyov made a presentation on the role of the antimonopoly authority in enforcement the Federal Law “On Energy Saving”.

Mr. Korolyov paid special attention to control by the regional offices of FAS Russia of compliance with the law on energy saving as well as the issues of interpretation of particular provisions of the law on energy saving.

“It was a very keen and dynamic discussion of practical issues of creating incentives for consumers and resource-supplying companies to install metering devices and generally comply with the law on energy efficiency and energy saving”, said Vitaly Korolyov.
