OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2010. National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity (NBU) pays special attention to further development of the system of cashless payments by plastic cards.

For nine months of 2010 the bank emitted 379,200 plastic cards, their total number amounted to 2.15 million items as of 1 October 2010.

The volume of operations by plastic cards for nine months of 2010 made up 675 billion soums.
