OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2010. Potash fertilizer export by Belaruskali increased 180% on the year in January-September 2010 to 5.323 million tonnes, a source in Belaruskali told.

The growth attests to a revival of global markets, he said, however, despite the positive demand trends, there has been no adequate increase in potash prices, he said.

The average potash price in the first nine months of 2010 amounted to USD 296.6 per tonne.

In 2010, Belaruskali plans to produce 7.25 million tonnes of fertilizers.

Last year, fertilizer export reached 2.948 million tonnes, which compares with 6.48 million tonnes in 2008.
