OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2010. United Metallurgical Company held the 4th International Conference "Development of Springs Production at CMW and Springs Markets in 2010–2011." The Conference was attended by representatives of Russia's 18 regions, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.

The Conference has become a good traditional event. The participants discussed regional situations, current challenges, development prospects, and the forecast for the development of the springs market in 2011. The Conference summarized the results of cooperation between CMW and its dealers for the 9 months of 2010 and outlined their main targets and objectives for 2011.

I. V. Popov, a representative of Nizhni Novgorod-based Ressoroff, mentioned the great contribution made by OMK in the promotion of automotive springs in Russia's and the CIS's markets, especially the training sessions held for springs sale and production personnel.

"The conference is very useful, as it enables springs business colleagues to get together and discuss all sorts of urgent problems. Its participants discussed their achievements and failures and jointly addressed many accumulated issues. The event was a uniting venue, where CMW-made springs brought people together into a strong and cohesive team capable of implementing the most ambitious solutions," said Chief Sales Officer of the OMK Steel Works Division V. V. Zhizhanov.

The Conference determined guidelines for the development of the springs business and identified some key objectives to be attained for further strengthening of CMW springs' positions in the metallurgical market.
