KASE Launched Series of Educational Games for Students
OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2010. The autumn series of demonstrational and educational games for students from several Kazakhstan universities was launched in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) trading hall using the new KASE trading system terminal, reported the press-centre of KASE.
This project provides future economists with basics of operating KASE trading system and is a joint development of Exchange group members – Information Agency for Financial Markets IRBIS, eTrade.kz LLP and KASE.
25 participants from 5 Kazakhstan universities will participate in the autumn series of demonstrational and educational games, including Kazakh-British University, Kazakhstan Institute for Management, Economics and Forecasting, International Academy of Business, MBA subsidiary of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, University of international Business.
The selection of universities was made based on their applications sent in to Information Agency for Financial Markets IRBIS - after completion of the spring game series (April 2010).
The first stage of demonstrational and educational games will see competitions inside of each university. Those contests will determine 5 best gamers from each university, who will then participate within combined teams in the final, competition amongst the universities.
According to the game rules, every participant enters the game with a 5,000,000 virtual tenge credit. In the course of the game the participants will try to increase their investment portfolios' value the most, making deals in the 7 most liquid KASE-listed shares, whose price will reflect situation on the real stock market for those shares.
As usual, the game is a team event and the conditions will be the closest to those of the real KASE financial instruments trading.
The said project will run from November 9 to November 30, 2010.
