OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2010. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov charged to create in Ukraine production of LED lamps within two years. The relevant order was given to the Head of State Committee on Science, Innovation and Information Vladimir Seminozhenko at the meeting on science, technology and innovation policy.

"Let us within 2 years allocate some resources and create in Ukraine production of LED techniques" - Mykola Azarov emphasized. He added that after the establishment of such enterprises the Government would provide them with state order. In particular, he said, we can transfer all government organizations from the use of incandescent lamps to the use of LED lamps. "If we transfer the budget organization from incandescent lamps to use LED lamps, we will save 30-40% of energy" - the Prime Minister said.

In turn, Vladimir Semynozhenko said that negotiations on the establishment of such enterprises in Ukraine are already underway, and their next round will be held in late November. "We have received a delegation from South Korea and visited Minsk in order to draft the production project for light emitting diodes in Ukraine" - he stressed.
