For the first time, IDGC “North-West” branch “Vologdaenergo” has organized On-line control for substation “Istra” reconstruction. The substation 110/10 kW is situated in Cherepovets. Due to the new technologies, the management of the grid company and the company-contractor have the possibility for distant control under the operations progress.

On-line control for substation “Istra” reconstruction was installed with a view to receive objective evidences about operations progress. On-line control is carried out by communication channel to the closed circuit television. On the area of substation are installed two video cameras. The information from the video cameras comes directly to the computers of top - managers of “Vologdaenergo”.

In future, such practice will be implemented on the others IDGC “North-West’s objects.
