OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2010. The works aimed to re-equip the substation began in 2008. Its completion is planned for the summer of 2011.

In November, IDGC of North-West's branch “Pskovenergo” has completed the second stage of reconstruction of substation 110/10/6 kW № 53 "Pskov" – the most important long-term project of investment program 2008-2011 of “Pskovenergo”. At the beginning of November, the substation started to operate in standard mode. 

The chief of department of technical exploitation and repair of “Pskovenergo” Vladimir Nikiforov  says : “ During implementation of the second stage of reconstruction, in the open distribution device (ODD) of 100 kV the  equipment of cells 110 kV “Pskovskaya-1”, “Pskovskaya-2”, “Pskovskaya-3” and “Zapadnaya-1” was  substituted . There were installed the disconnectors and autotransformer circuit breakers produced by “Siemens”. For all period of reconstruction the substation is remain acting. Disassembling of equipment and substitution for the up-to-date analogs were provided by turns, without outage of consumers.

In the frames of the technical re-equipping of the substation the autotransformer circuit breakers 110 kW were installed on the power transformers T-1 and T-2 and on the interbus switch MSHV.

During the modernization, all new connections were equipped with microprocessor devises of relay protection and the automatics emergency control as the substitution for the outdated power mechanical ones. At the present time the operations for assembling and setting up of technological process control system   are practically completed. All this will help to increase the productivity and correctness of the personnel actions due to the up-to-date methods and algorithms of information’s receiving. 

Let us mention that the works aimed to re-equip the substation began in 2008. Its completion is planned for the summer of 2011. The total reconstruction includes installation of 17 autotransformer circuit breakers 110 kW. All in all, “Pskovenergo” will invest nearby RUR 427 million into the complex technical re-equipping

Substation No.53 of 110/10/6 kV has been in operation for more than 40 years. It is a system-creating element of the electric grids of “Pskovenergo” and source of power supply of the considerable part of Pskov and Pskovskiy, Pechorskiy, Plusskiy, Strugokrasnenskiy and Gdovskiy regions.
