OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2010. A presentation of the Skolkovo Innovations Center Project for British business circles was made in London. The presentation was organized by Vnesheconombank jointly with the Russian-British Trade Chamber.

A concept of creating the Skolkovo Center, its regulatory and legal framework, implementation stages and prospects for this project were presented by Assistant to the Russian President Arkady Dvorkovich, Management Board Member of the Renova Group of Companies Oleg Alexeev and Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev.

This Presentation was organized to inform business community about the progress of the project’s implementation, discuss opportunities for cooperation as well as for raising investments for the Skolkovo Innovations Center.

In attendance of the Presentation were representatives of the largest British and international innovations companies including GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca, BT, Cisco, Rolls-Royce, Shell, venture funds and associations (including executives of British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association) as well as representatives of the leading British think tanks (Cambridge, Imperial College and others), the EBRD, other financial institutions, British ministries and departments.

Vnesheconombank is one of the founders of the Nonprofit Organization “The Foundation for the Development and Commercialization of High Technologies”, which is a managing company of the Skolkovo Innovations Center. Acting as a consultant, Vnesheconombank participates in meetings of the working group on creating an international financial center in Russia under the Council for the Development of Russia’s Financial Market under the Russian President.
