OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2010. AS ”Akciju komercbanka ”Baltikums”” took part in the second Turkmenistan International Investment Forum hosted in Ashkhabad, reported the press-centre of Baltikums.

The Chairman of the Council of AS ”Akciju komercbanka ”Baltikums”” Aleksandrs Peskovs and First Deputy Chairman of the Board Dmitrijs Latisevs state that the Eastern region is one of the most promising areas for developing partner relations, there new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between Latvian and Turkmenistan businesses. Representatives of the Bank met heads of heads of ministries and state authorities, representatives of the business elite of Turkmenistan and of the international business society. During business meetings with representatives of the financial sector, agreements have been made to start cooperation and establish business relations.

Participants of the Turkmenistan International Investment Forum were offered a unique opportunity to obtain latest and comprehensive information on the investment environment, latest trends in the economic development, legal and taxation legislations, partnership opportunities in various sectors of the economy.

As part of the forum, investment opportunities were considered, which are available to potential investors in development of the oil and gas and chemistry industries, electric power industry, transport environment, banking and financial sectors, agro-industrial complex, telecommunications, medical manufacturing and pharmacy market, textile industry, and tourism.
