OREANDA-NEWS. November 9, 2010. MHP notes the announcement by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (“Rosselkhoznadzor”) that a temporary restriction on imports to the Russian Federation of certain animal products produced by a number of international producers, including MHP, has been imposed.

MHP is absolutely confident in the high quality and security of its products. Chicken meat produced by the company, including that which was exported to the Russian Federation, is tested regularly in the Company’s own microbiologic laboratories and by State Veterinarian Authorities, which enforce the high quality of MHP products. MHP will work closely with the Russian authorities to monitor the product quality and ensure that restrictions are removed as soon as possible.

MHP's export sales to Russia are insignificant and these restrictions will not have a material effect on MHP's overall sales.
