Number of Unemployed Decreased by 22% in Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. November 09, 2010. It is anticipated that in Ukraine (according to the Guidelines of the State employment policy for 2010-2011, approved by the Government resolution in autumn this year) in 2010, will create jobs for almost 652 thousand people, and in 2011 - more than for 683 thousand people.
In general, Ukraine has already seen improvement in the labour market conditions that could be considered as one of indicators of post-crisis growth in the domestic economy. The Minister of Labour and Social Policy Vasyl Nadraga said during the briefing held today in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
According to the official, the number of unemployed in the country, during the new Government (from April to October), decreased from 505 thousand to 394 thousand people, or 22%. Unemployment population level, calculated by the ILO methodology, has also decreased from 9.5% to 9.0%.
