OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2010. The Board of Directors appointed Igor Chalik Deputy Director General, Director of Operations Department and made him a member of the Board of Directors of JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot. 

Igor Petrovich Chalik was born in the city of Orsk of Orenburg region in 1957 into the family of a military pilot. In 1979 he graduated from Aktyubinsk Higher School of Civil Aviation. He was assigned to Syktyvkar airline on graduation; flew the TU-134. In 1983 he started working for Aeroflot (the then Central Office for International Flights); piloted the TU-134, Il-86, A310 and A320.

Since 2008 he has piloted the A330. He has accumulated almost 14 000 hours of total flight time. In 2003 - 2008 he headed the A320 the Aeroflot fleet. From 2008 to 2010 Igor Chalik headed the A330 flying team. He is an honored pilot of the Russian Federation and has been awarded the “In memory of the 850th anniversary of Moscow” medal and the “85 years of civil aviation” commemorative token.
