OREANDA-NEWS. November 2, 2010. The Ingosstrakh branch paid 4.1 mln rubles to one of the Saratov region agricultural producers for the winter wheat crops damaged by drought.

The winter wheat and rye crops on a total area of 1,729 ha was insured against loss or partial damage for the total amount of 14.5 mln rubles.

The insured event was an air and soil drought which led to partial crops loss. As a result of several expert appraisals performed to assess the damage, the event was recognized as an insured event and Ingosstrakh paid the enterprise the full indemnity.

The insured harvest was pledged to the Saratov regional branch of Rosselkhozbank to secure a loan.

Ingosstrakh has been cooperating with the agricultural producer since 2008. During this period agricultural machinery and transport vehicles, livestock (heads of cattle stock and pig stock) and future harvest were insured.
