RTS Announced Stock Market Weekly Trading Results

OREANDA-NEWS. November 2, 2010. Over the week of October 25-29, 2010, the RTS Index went down by 1.34% to reach 1,587.14 points (1,608.71 points as of October 22, 2010). Most of the negative impact on the RTS Index dynamics was related to the falling prices for ordinary shares of Sberbank (SBERS) (down 6.38 points),  followed by ordinary shares of OAO ‘LUKOIL’ (LKOHS)  (down 4.96 points) and Rosneft  (ROSNS) (down 2.82 points).

The RTS Standard Index, the blue chips index, added 0.09% to reach 10,463.83 points (10,454.00 points as of October 22, 2010). The "second-tier" stock index – RTS-2 experienced an increase of 0.34% closing at 1,995.51 points (1,988.68 points as of October 22, 2010). Last week all the key economy sectors represented on the Russian Stock Market experienced negative dynamic. The largest decline was reported by the oil & gas, with the RTS Oil & Gas Index shedding 1.38%. The largest growth was reported by the inductrial sector, with the RTS Industrial Index adding 3.45%. 

The regional index, RTS Siberia Index, lost 1.14%.

Last week the US dollar depreciated by 0.16% against the ruble to reach 30.68 rubles per US dollar (30.73 rubles as of October 22, 2010).

The total securities trading volume on RTS for the week of October 25-29, 2010 equaled USD10.2 billion (310.1 billion rubles*), including all types of trades. The trading volume on RTS Standard totaled USD2,390.65 million.

The week's top sellers were Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) with a turnover of USD1,511.4 million followed by Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) with a turnover of USD384.1 million and ordinary shares of OAO ‘LUKOIL’ (LKOH) with a turnover of USD108.2 million. The share of each security in the total trading volume made up 62.58%, 15.90% and 4.48% respectively.

The week's top gainers were ordinary shares of "IDGC of Center and Volga Region, JSC"   (MRKP) that went up by 16.46% to USD0.0092 followed by ordinary shares of Open Joint-Stock Company "DIXY GROUP"   (DIXY) – by 9.17% to USD13.1 and ordinary shares of "IDGC of Centre, JSC"   (MRKC) – by 8.92% to reach USD0.0452.

The week's top losers were ordinary shares of JSC "WGC-3"  (OGKC) that fell 9.09% to reach USD0.052 followed by ordinary shares of JSC SITRONICS  (SITR) that lost 6.39% to reach USD0.01554 and JSC Acron  (AKRN) that shed 4.61% to reach USD29.0.
