Gross Regional Product of Jizzakh Region Grew by 9,7%
OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2010. The gross regional product of Jizzakh region grew by 9.7% in the first three quarters of 2010 compared to the same period of last year.
Industrial growth made up 17.6%, agriculture 6.9%, construction works 13.1% and services 17.9%, it was said at the session at the regional administration.
52 new enterprises were launched in January-September in accordance with the regional industrial program, and five enterprises were modernized.
Commercial banks provided credits worth UZS 62.66 billion in the reporting period to small business and private entrepreneurs.
The share of the private sector in the regional economy has increased, reaching 37.5% in industry, 99.9% in agriculture, 50.8% in retail trade and 60% in service sector.
34,422 new workplaces were created in Jizzakh region in the nine months, including 64.2% in rural areas.
Construction of about 140 houses based on type projects was completed in the framework of the special state program.
