OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2010. Ukraine must improve the quality of its products to European standards. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov stated in the "Exam for authority" at the First National Channel.

He said the problem of product quality in Ukraine is very serious. This is especially true for food. As an example, the Prime Minister noted that one of the last fairs in Ukraine was attended by Belarusian delegation, which brought a large amount of food. "I asked the price. It turned out that prices for Belarusian products are even higher than for ours. I asked how these products were bought? And it turns out that people were even standing in line" - Mykola Azarov said and explained the fact that Belarus has managed to preserve the system of high standards, tough requirements of the food what definitely, positively affected the quality.

"If we want to compete, especially in the EU market, we need to rethink many of standards to produce our food. And we are doing it, definitely. We will support it. I have already instructed on what we have to deal with to rise standards of our products" - Mykola Azarov said.
