FGC UES and St.Petersburg Polytechnic University Concluded Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. November 1, 2010. FGC and St Petersburg State Polytechnic University (SPU) concluded an Agreement on strategic partnership in the area of staff training and continuing education, cooperation in scientific and technical sphere. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC FGC UES Oleg Budargin and SPU president Mikhail Fyodorov.
The Agreement provides for several areas of cooperation. The first area covers issues related to development of the training, continuing professional education and professional development of production and technical personnel of FGC on the basis of SPU. Within this area of cooperation it is planned to organize advanced training courses and also secondment for SPU lecturers on the facilities of FGC.
Other area of cooperation relates to participation of SPU specialists on scientific and technical activity of FGC. In particular it is planned to involve SPU personnel in solving issues which are urgent for the company, in particular related to development of scientific and technical innovative policy as well as determine topics for dissertations, the university students’ graduation, apprenticeship and Bachelor works in accordance with FGC profile.
Upon signing the agreement officers of FGC and SPU met with students of the university. The following officers participated in the meeting: Deputies Chairman of the Management Board of JSC FGC UES Andrey Kazachenkova and Natalya Ozhegina, General Director of JSC FGC UES Branch – Backbone electric grids (MES) of North-West – Valery Ageev.
During the meeting the representatives of FGC reported about the core directions of the development of the Unified national energy system, innovative projects realized by the company, and also spoke about FGC needs in high qualified specialists to work at its electric grid facilities.
Special attention was paid to career and professional development opportunities for young employees of the company, pre-graduating practice on FGC facilities including within summer practical training teams. Students from MEI who were on practice at FGC energy facilities in
